    • maybe a little old for you, but OK for me..lol…if you like him so much, he was also in a little known Natalie Wood movie – “Inside Daisy Clover” when she actually WAS about 15 and had short tomboy hair. Ruth Gordon was her crazy mother (a precursor to Clint Eastwood series). The whole thing is really a hoot… with Robert Redford to boot as Daisy’s suducer. good movie if you can find it.

  1. Cool, thanks for announcing them here-I just couldn’t find them elsewhere(I haven’t searched a lot though).I think the people who got the awards, are really the ones that deserve them!
And by the way,I watched ”Hugo(2011)”.Absolutely amazing film, sound and editing effects! It was great-I recommend it. 🙂

  2. Thanks so much for posting this list! I never watch the Oscars because I feel like watching it for 4 hours is just too horrible (i.e. too many long speeches, too many commercials, watching TV for so long, etc.), but I’m always curious about who has won.

I LOVE that you just listed it all out without any needless chatter. Love it. 🙂

    • My pleasure, I’m happy you liked! 🙂
Yes, I thought every time I see a critic saying something about a movie that I like I get a bit upset… It’s like, Who are you to tell me that what I like it’s good or not??? So, that’s why I just post the winners without any comment… But just for you to know, I’m happy with the winners this year.

  3. The show itself was a bit lackluster, but the winners were fantastic!!! Even though I didn’t win our Oscar pool, it was a year of great film.

  5. Presume Meryl’s shoe didn’t come off as it did at the Bafta’s a couple of weeks back in the UK? The wonderful Colin Firth retrieved it for her and popped it on as Mr Darcy himself would have done!

  6. The foreign films deserved more applause, I think. Meryl Streep had her bright personality as always. The original song category was, “Blah”. The Muppets music was great for children, c’mon and the Real in Rio wasn’t a great movie.

  7. Thrilled to see Octavia Spencer take an Oscar home! An AU grad and Alabama woman… nice to see her recognized for a nuanced performance. The arts are alive and well down here in the South 🙂

  8. I’m so happy Rango won best animated feature, it was brilliant on so many levels. Not necessarily a kids animated feature, being produced by Nickelodeon and all, but what is these days?

  9. Meryl Streep got a well deserved award. She is so beautiful and talented. Has always been my favorite. And I’m so excited for Shermeen Obaid Chinoy for winning an Oscar for Saving Face. Everyone in our country had their fingers crossed. Winning a prestigious award like the Oscars is a sure thing to be proud of 🙂

The Artist seems like an interesting movie too. Looking forward to watching it over the weekend with my girlfriends 🙂

  10. The Artist was alright, personally i thought it was kind of boring. I was really hoping that the Descendants would take home the oscar. Oh Well. Sacha Baron Cohen made the night as the dictator

  11. Well.. if I can get 195 bloggers to *like* my copy-pasted article and 85 of them to comment on it, I will be a happy cow too.

*murmurs to self* Am getting old for this shit!

  12. I must always disagree with at least one decision the jury makes. Well, its the same case almost every year. Firstly, I can’t think of George Clooney not winning the Oscar. And have you seen the art direction in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy? That didn’t even make it to the nominations. Rest is all good. 🙂

  13. Here’s how to make an ice cream pie, including directions for a cookie crust (with variations), plus ideas for fillings and toppings. We all know how unattractive a desperate-seeming person is. When movie games nonetheless ran on cartridges, the Game Genie had been a common piece of gear familiar with input gaming hacks codes.
