I’m so in love with Christopher Plummer … have been ever since Sound of Music.
A 45-year age difference isn’t THAT big of a deal, right?
😉
maybe a little old for you, but OK for me..lol…if you like him so much, he was also in a little known Natalie Wood movie – “Inside Daisy Clover” when she actually WAS about 15 and had short tomboy hair. Ruth Gordon was her crazy mother (a precursor to Clint Eastwood series). The whole thing is really a hoot… with Robert Redford to boot as Daisy’s suducer. good movie if you can find it.
age aint nothing but a number hun 🙂
very pleased for Mr Plummer. Is this his first Oscar?
are you crazy the muppets is the worst movie in all the world and the songs stinks
i actually thought that as well!! ahh well, must be enough people out there with a taste for dull movies and ever duller music!
I am happy that Man or Muppet won best song. ♥ Best part of the new Muppet Movie.
Nice! Thanks for sharing this. I missed the whole Oscar Award show.
My pleasure, I’m happy you liked! 🙂
Meryl, I love you girl, but 1987 called. It wants its dress back.

Cool, thanks for announcing them here-I just couldn’t find them elsewhere(I haven’t searched a lot though).I think the people who got the awards, are really the ones that deserve them!
And by the way,I watched ”Hugo(2011)”.Absolutely amazing film, sound and editing effects! It was great-I recommend it. 🙂
My pleasure, I’m happy you liked! 🙂
Me too… I haven’t watched Hugo yet, but my friends are all saying good things about it. Can’t wait to see.

Thank you! I did not get to watch and this is a perfect synopsis. Have a great day!
My pleasure, I’m happy you liked! 🙂
Thank you and have a great day too.
I’m still upset “The Help” didn’t win more. Don’t get me wrong, I love Meryl Streep, but Viola Davis was absolutely amazing in her role.
I agree! i was hoping Viola would win, as much as I LOVE Meryl too…
well, as long at the academy does the voting, we probably won’t see much diversity in winners.
completely agree. I loved Viola Davis’ performance in The Help.
As a native Rhode Islander, I was also rooting for Viola Davis (she hails from Central Falls, RI). Not to mention the book & movie were amazing – wish the movie had gotten a LOT more recognition!!

So ..After all …it’s “The Artist” !! Thanks for sharing these awards 😀 Nice post 🙂 Cheers

I love The Artist… Well deserved!
My pleasure, I’m happy you liked! 🙂
Thanks so much for posting this list! I never watch the Oscars because I feel like watching it for 4 hours is just too horrible (i.e. too many long speeches, too many commercials, watching TV for so long, etc.), but I’m always curious about who has won.
I LOVE that you just listed it all out without any needless chatter. Love it. 🙂
haha, Me Too!!!
My pleasure, I’m happy you liked! 🙂
Yes, I thought every time I see a critic saying something about a movie that I like I get a bit upset… It’s like, Who are you to tell me that what I like it’s good or not??? So, that’s why I just post the winners without any comment… But just for you to know, I’m happy with the winners this year.
Mooooo
Thanks for a brief rundown that saved me the pain of having to watch the ceremony.
My pleasure, I’m happy you liked! 🙂
Mooooo
woahh lucky ppl
The show itself was a bit lackluster, but the winners were fantastic!!! Even though I didn’t win our Oscar pool, it was a year of great film.

Nice work here with this timely info. Av got to share it too…
Some of the dresses are just horrible. I’m yet to see the silent film but I shall just to see what the fuss has been about. thanks for the post
YAY for ‘A Separation’!
Presume Meryl’s shoe didn’t come off as it did at the Bafta’s a couple of weeks back in the UK? The wonderful Colin Firth retrieved it for her and popped it on as Mr Darcy himself would have done!
Meryl , Meryl, Meryl, you always the best !!!!!!!

I knew Octavia Spencer would win. I loved the Help!!
Love, love, love, love
Great pic of Plummer!
Always fantastic 🙂
Nothing unexpected here; the Oscars were predictable as the day is long. Great post, though!
The foreign films deserved more applause, I think. Meryl Streep had her bright personality as always. The original song category was, “Blah”. The Muppets music was great for children, c’mon and the Real in Rio wasn’t a great movie.
I am so happy that Pakistan won it’s first Oscar. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy did an amazing job!
I also missed watching The Oscars, but I wanted to say Congratulations to Actress “Octavia Spencer” for her supporting role in The Help!!!
The only movie I saw this year was The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo which was intense. One of the most suspenseful flicks I’ve seen in years.
‘The Artist’, interesting! I can’t wait to see it on cinemas
And oh, BTW I like this theme, ‘Matala’. I just downloaded it the past week. Hopefully it has more features than my Notepad theme right now.
Thank you very much for posting these! I couldn’t watch the Oscars and I was really curious to see who had won.
Meryl and Octavia were my faves of the night! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thrilled to see Octavia Spencer take an Oscar home! An AU grad and Alabama woman… nice to see her recognized for a nuanced performance. The arts are alive and well down here in the South 🙂
I need to see The Artist! Tout de suite! 🙂 I always see the Oscar films AFTER the ceremony, strangely enough 😛

I’m so happy Rango won best animated feature, it was brilliant on so many levels. Not necessarily a kids animated feature, being produced by Nickelodeon and all, but what is these days?
I still need to see all the nominate films but I did see The Help and she was awesome!

The Artist is a cool movie 🙂
Meryl Streep got a well deserved award. She is so beautiful and talented. Has always been my favorite. And I’m so excited for Shermeen Obaid Chinoy for winning an Oscar for Saving Face. Everyone in our country had their fingers crossed. Winning a prestigious award like the Oscars is a sure thing to be proud of 🙂
The Artist seems like an interesting movie too. Looking forward to watching it over the weekend with my girlfriends 🙂

This was a great night for lots of great Artists!!!!
Artist nice movie
The Artist was alright, personally i thought it was kind of boring. I was really hoping that the Descendants would take home the oscar. Oh Well. Sacha Baron Cohen made the night as the dictator

I wasn’t too impressed with the Help, to be honest. 😦
Great roundup!
I wasn’t able to watch it this year, so thank you for the update. 🙂

Did Angelina Jollie’s right leg also win an Oscar? I like her but what did you think of it!
I loved Octavia Spencer in the help!
Considering there hasn’t been a silent film since the Oscars began, I see why The Artist won. Adding it to my list of must-sees.

oh my gosh!!! I’m so in love with the French!!! oh… Jean Dujardin!!!!
I’m not the biggest fan of The Artist, but those movie posters are gorgeous.

I wish the Help had won more, but I’m glad Octavia Spensor won! And I really want to see the Artist now. 🙂
i loved best supporting actress in the help, she was great. and midnight in paris was just a dream! thanks for sharing it all. i have to see the other films.
I love the artist, beautiful movie! Hugo is be ok!
I must always disagree with at least one decision the jury makes. Well, its the same case almost every year. Firstly, I can’t think of George Clooney not winning the Oscar. And have you seen the art direction in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy? That didn’t even make it to the nominations. Rest is all good. 🙂

When movie games nonetheless ran on cartridges, the Game Genie had been a common piece of gear familiar with input gaming hacks codes.
