‘Imagine soft, silky, black… gently and smoothly caressing your throat at each sip… mmmmmmm!
Get your mind out of the gutter – I’m talking about the Guinness!’
It’s St. Patrick’s Day and this is the time of year that we all pretend to be a little bit Irish and get up to some shamrock and shenanigans.
If you don’t live in Ireland, Irish-themed public houses are always a good option to celebrate and in London have great choices, here are 3 of my favourites Irish pubs:
Waxy O’Connor has a giant tree in the middle of it so ‘you feel like you’re drinking in some underground fantasy pub.’
It might be the largest bar in London but it doesn’t feel that way. Split up over twelve different levels, The Porterhouse: ‘The word that best describes this place is Labyrinth – the David Bowie version rather than Pan’s.’
And there’s the tiny, The Toucan in Soho, contender for the best pint of Guinness in London.
So, raise a glass to your fellow leprechaun, guzzle a gallon of Guinness and follow this intoxicating day to the end of the rainbow!
